First, use a ruler and a pencil to draw a circle with a diameter of 25 centimeters on a piece of paper, and then cut it out. Next, fold the cut-out circular paper into quarters, then fold each quarter in half to create eight equal sectors resembling a fan shape.
Fold the cut-out circular paper into quarters, then fold each quarter in half to create eight equal sectors resembling a fan shape. Roll the paper strips into thin paper sticks, approximately 15 centimeters in length. Secure the end of the paper stick with glue or tape. Starting from the center point of the circular paper, weave the paper stick along the edges of the sectors one by one.
Secure the end of the paper stick onto the paper strip, then thread it under the next strip and over along the top of the following strip. Continue weaving in this manner until reaching the end of the sector. Insert the next paper stick into the end of the previous one and continue weaving along the edge of the sector.
When you reach the end of the sector while weaving, secure the end of the last paper stick onto the paper strip, then thread it under the first strip and over along the top of the first strip. This completes the first round of weaving, creating a square in the middle with four sides.
Next, pull out two paper sticks, as shown in the diagram. Weave to the right side.
Insert the paper sticks as shown in the diagram. When the paper stick reaches the end while weaving, use glue to extend it. Continue weaving until the bottom of the fruit tray is large enough.
Stand up the radial paper sticks. Continue weaving between the paper sticks using the same method.
Repeat the above steps with another color of paper strips. You can choose different weaving methods, such as weaving every two paper strips or every three paper strips to increase the number of layers and aesthetic appeal. For example, after reaching a certain height, use red paper sticks as shown in the picture for a decorative effect.
Continue weaving the sides of the fruit tray, making sure to flatten the radiating paper sticks at this point. Then continue weaving to create a beautiful edge for the fruit tray.
The depth of the fruit tray is almost complete. Fold the excess paper sticks towards the bottom of the fruit tray. Cut off the excess as shown in the picture and tuck it away.
After folding and trimming the excess paper sticks towards the bottom of the fruit plate, we have finally completed this gorgeous paper-woven fruit tray! This fruit tray not only accommodates a variety of fruits perfectly but also serves as a neat storage solution for snacks and trinkets, keeping your tabletop organized. Its exquisite weaving craftsmanship is not only awe-inspiring but also highly functional. Whether used for family gatherings, parties, or daily life, this paper-woven fruit tray will be the perfect choice for storing and displaying your culinary delights!
